Description Gases can Kill -- Monitoring for hazardous gases continuously during tunnel construction is essential due to the high speed of gas releases. Pockets of natural gas or hydrogen sulfide are unpredictable, and, when they occur, the gas release can inundate the tunnel atmosphere.
